Matt and Roxy

I recently met up with the lovely Matt and Roxy for their engagement session at two iconic Durban locations – Moses Mabhida stadium and of course the beach. Matt proposed to Roxy at the top of the stadium so it holds a very special place in their hearts. And as they wrap up their internships this year and get ready to leave Durban we just had to include the beach (Matt also loves to surf!).

“Matt and I met in university, both of us first year medical students at the time. From the first moment I saw him, I somehow just knew we would end up together! And on the 7th of March that year we became official. It really is true when they say opposites attract – he’s the perfect calm to my storm of a personality ;-) 
We completed our medical studies together, and ended up in Durban for our internship at King Edward Hospital. 
On the 7th of March this year (on our 7 year dating anniversary) he popped the question! It really was the happiest day of my life. He took me up moses mabida stadium and while looking out on the beautiful view, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him :-)”

“What I love about Matt? Everything! I could not give justice to all his amazing attributes. 
He has the biggest, most caring heart that loves endlessly. He is kind to everyone that crosses his path.
He has been my pillar of support since university and i really couldn’t have asked for a better person to have by my side. Through every up and down he has been there, loving me regardless. 
Everyday he continues to inspire and motivate me to be the best person I can be! From day one he has encouraged me to achieve every goal I have set for myself.
I love that we share the same silly sense of humour and can spend hours just talking about nonsense. 
He’s intelligent and logical and always willing to help.
He is assertive and confident and will always stand up for what he believes in. 
His calm and collected personality is the perfect balance for my intense A-type personality.
In a nutshell, I just love everything about him – from handsomeness to his great personality! 

Our common love for travel has taken us on a few amazing adventures so far – from Europe, to Seychelles and  in and around south africa. Every holiday is such an adventure and i can’t wait for what the future has to offer! 
We also share the same taste in music and love attending live concerts!
We enjoy exploring different foods and often find ourselves eating out, however, we also a good cooking session in the kitchen at home :-)
